It’s the newest television from Sony Japan called KDL-40ZX1. It has a 40inch screen and at its thinnest point it measures only 9.9mm. This new TV design only weighs 26 pounds. It includes a Bravia Engine 2 that processes at 120hz with MotionFlow for crystal clear picture on fast motion images. The contrast ratio is 3,000:1, which isn’t too bad for its small package. The ZX1 will also have a viewing angle of 178 degrees.
Sony is using a new technology that uses LED lights in the corners instead of lighting the screen from the back. It disperses the light evenly across the back, for a great looking picture. Here you can see the profile view of the TV. It is amazing how much they can fit in under 10mm.

The best thing about this television besides the incredible compact size is the wireless Hi-Def base station. Assuming it is WHDI, which is featured on other Sony products, the maximum range should reach 20 meters. The wireless station will transmit only a 1080i image on a 5GHz wireless channel. The TV will come with only on HDMI port on the back, so the wireless station is a must have.
The wireless station will include 3 HDMI ports, 2 component ports, S-Video and a VGA input. Also supported by the ZX1 base will be USB, LAN, an AV mouse, and standard phone jack. With the USB you can plug you Digital camera in and view your pictures in full HD.
Also this television will come in different colors: Red marble, Silver, Black, and Blue marble. (Pictured below)
