Mad Catz Rock Band Mods

All new instruments are coming this summer starting June 22nd through August 1st. Mad Catz will release wired premium drums, wired guitar, wired bass, wired microphone, and a portable drum kit. This is huge for all of you Rock Band Fans out there. Mad Catz is an officially licensed 3rd party manufacture, backed by Rock Band creator, Harmonix.

First instrument to hit the shelves is the newly designed bass guitar. It is modeled after a Fender Precision bass guitar, with dual strum bars. This allows you to strum up and down simultaneously. It’s coming this Sunday, priced at $69.99.

Portable drum kit is small, with quiet drumstick and noise reducing pads. This is great for bands that love to travel and are always on the move. I’m not sure if it includes a stand or you set it on your lap. It should be in stores July 15th, priced at $49.99.

The Drums will include four drum pads, symbol, bass drum pedal, and a high hat with pedal. All parts will be fully adjustable with two-axis motion. Priced at $149, it’s well worth the money if you are a drum fanatic. Release date is August 1st.

Modeled after a Fender Telecaster replica, comes a new guitar. With improved programmable strum bar, and quick response fret keys. The release date has not been announced but should be in stores later this summer, priced at $79.99.

Finally they mixed the microphone with a controller. Now your lead singer doesn’t have to play catch up and be held down with two controllers. This mic includes all of your regular buttons plus a lock button for when you are really belting out your favorite song. A must have for a $59.99 price tag. It has already been released but has not been shipped to stores yet, keep and eye opened its coming soon.

Rumor is wireless versions of all these instruments are in the works, so if you can wait a little longer, you can rock out all over the place. Stay tuned for more Rock Band updates.
