2008 Olympic Flash Drive

Have you been watching the 2008 Olympics in Beijing? Between Micheal Phelps becoming an Olympic Legend and all the other drama unfolding, this year has been very exciting. Lenovo has now released Olympic themed USB Flash Drives in all different shapes and sizes. Lenovo is the creator and designer of the 2008 Beijing Olympic torch. They have released many special edition flash drives to promote this year’s Olympics.

The most popular and my favorite is the silver and red swirled 4GB thumb drive. Made from the same materials as this year’s torch. It looks almost exactly the same except it’s ten times smaller and is not on fire. This one will run you about $142 USD.

There is also the Mascot series that includes six 4GB thumb drives with the 2008 Beijing Olympic logo and this year’s Fuwa mascots. The colors include white, black, red, orange, green, and blue. The set should cost you about $29 USD.

The most extravagant version is the Prestige limited edition set. Only ten of these sets were made. They are made of “Space Metal” carefully constructed from titanium with a swivel USB cover. The set comes with five 1GB thumb drives encased in a red mahogany box. You would be very lucky to get your hands on one of these.

Lastly, there is a set of five medallions engraved with this year’s mascots on them. I don’t know that much about this set because they have been sold out everywhere I look.

So keep on watching this year’s Olympics and I’m sure there will be a lot more to come and many more records broken. Help support them by purchasing one of these great souvenirs. And you can keep “memories” of the 2008 Beijing Olympics forever.
