First things first if you haven’t bought a new HDTV yet you are really missing out on a great experience. With our current economic crisis in the dump right now HDTVs are at a all time low for prices. But don’t be fooled by imitation TV sets, if you want to get the most bang for your buck by name brand. For a few extra bucks you can get a trusted good quality set that will last.
Step one, is an easy one, go to the store and just look at the selection of TVs. See which one makes the picture look the most life like that will fit into your budget. Do you want plasma or an LCD? There are many pros and cons to both formats. You need to look at which own suits your needs.
Step two what size do you want, greater or less than 40 inch? Any thing less than 40 inch you can save a lot of money by getting a 720p set opposed to getting the 1080p one. At that size you can’t even tell the difference. But if you go big definitely spend the extra money to get the full HD.
